It's a labor of love, just like raising children, writing autobiographies, or telling grandma it's time for her to take the long walk out into the snow because the igloo is getting too full from all the children and unsold autobiographies laying about. The site has a long ways to go before I consider it done, and I have testimonials claiming the site hasn't changed whatsoever, but I'm one to never notice when someone gets a face lift, and I'm told that's a big deal as well, so we are even.
The old site was powered by a fantastic little application called Expression Engine. It was a fantastic content management system that was very flexible for my needs, and had a very robust blogging engine. It was a joy to learn and master, and I am sure one day I'll revisit EE once more. After all, I plan on being to websites what a crazy cat lady is to felines. Expression Engine gave me a chance to really dive into HTML and CSS, where before, I knew how to cob around a little bit in Frontpage or Microsoft Expressions. My transition was like that of the five socially diverse teens from Angel Grove, California who Zordon selected to become Mighty Morphine Power Rangers; I can now create giant dinosaur-shaped robots that lay a path of excellent destruction with just a few lines of code. Mmmm, Amy Jo Johnson. If decade younger, she could summon my Pterodactyl Dinozord anytime. I kid, she's like the female Chuck Norris, age is no question. Hmm, that lasted a bit too long. Seriously though, she fell for the Green Ranger. I had to compete with a damn Dragonzord!
Moving on.
It's good to be back, and I recommend everyone to fan the Facebook page and follow me on Twitter. You can also find me on the CB as Twilightfan00, for all you teen-vampire truckers out there. You know who you are.
